Your Tornado Twister locks on your vehicle license plate. They also lock on your license plate frame and your backup camera.(If you have one.) Your License Plate Frame as well as your backup camera must have Flat Area around the license plate attaching hole, no less the 1 1/16" inch in diameter. (See package drawing) Your Tornado Twister locks were designed to stick out beyond your backup camera lens, so to help protect these fragile lens. (See photo to left.) The LU-7000B is 100% legal in all states and all countries. Comes complete with most commonly used Screws and Bolts. When ordering, specify if you have a backup camera. Your backup camera will require longer screws or bolts which will be furnished. Once you have installed the Tornado Twister locks correctly, the locks and lock barrels will rotate freely (360% +), but will not loosen the attaching screws or bolts.  The difference between our LU-7000A (1.5" wide) and and our LU-7000B (1.0" wide) is size. The LU-7000B will require a smaller flat surface to mount and may work better on some frames. Other than cosmetic and size, the A and B are the same operationally. Keep in mind the LU-7000 series are not designed to protect your registration tags, but secure your frame and license plate. They are designed to prevent License Plate and Frame Thefts.

The LU-7000A comes with two 1.5"  Tornado Twisters and mounting hardware in a plastic Clam shell.

So you like the frame you now have, however you would like to lock it and your license plates onto your vehicle. Well, we finally invented what you need!

These new locks will lock on all "flat" frames and all license plates without frames. Once you have installed these new "twister" locks they will do just that. They will do the "twist" but will not loosen your license plate attaching screws (or bolts). Remember all you need to do to remove these locks is to use the keys.

License Plate Dual Security Locks- The Very Best Deterrent!

Once installed, Thieves will not be able to remove your license plates. The lock "Barrels" are designed to "Spin" and "NOT LOOSEN" any screws (or Bolts) that are holding your license plate to your vehicle. There are some License Plates which may have an upward "Protrusion" thus prohibiting the locks from spinning 360^o, however the license plate are still locked in place.

Lockum's Tornado Twister, (Patent Pending), will secure license plates, preventing theft of license plates on any vehicle- motorcycles, bicycles, cars, vans, trucks, buses, RVs, and any vehicles in any country.

As an Option, we offer  the LU-10 Flat Bar as an optional security feature for commercial trucks, buses, trailers and motorhomes or any vehicle that uses a "bracket" for an additional fee. Automobiles normally do not need this flat-bar.
